The first bedside lamp that doesn't dazzle me
I have been through three lamps looking for this. The glass is thick enough that you cannot see the bulb from any angle, including lying down with your head level with it. On the lowest amber setting my partner sleeps through while I read. It is smaller than I pictured from the photos — the shade is about the width of my hand spread out — but that turned out to be the point, because my nightstand is narrow.

Buy it for the warm setting, not the bright one
The three temperatures run amber, neutral, then a cooler daylight. Honestly I use the first two constantly and the third almost never — it works fine, it is just a bit clinical for a bedroom. Worth knowing the switch sits on the cord rather than on the lamp, so you feel for the cord and not the base. The chrome is properly plated rather than painted and the base has real weight to it.

Warm Cream is more buttery than the photos
Ordered the Warm Cream and it reads as a soft butter yellow in daylight and almost ivory once it is lit, which sits beautifully against oak. The glass has tiny thickness variations near the groove so the glow is not perfectly even, and I like that. One note: it runs from a USB cord, so make sure you have a free USB socket or a plug adaptor on your side of the bed.
