Product Info

Opal glass globe, solid marble base, brass ring

Overview

A bare bulb shows off; Pearl™ glows. Its milky opal-glass sphere scatters the light of the bulb inside it evenly in every direction — no hotspot, no glare line, just a soft globe of warm light you can look straight at. It rests in a brass ring on a dome of solid marble — green with deep forest veining, white, or black — that plants the lamp firmly on the narrowest shelf or nightstand. At about 25 cm tall it's a small lamp with real presence: stone below, glow above, and nothing to apologise for when it's off.

Care

Dust glass and stone with a dry cloth. Lift the globe with both hands when moving the lamp — it seats in the brass ring rather than locking in. No acids or abrasives on marble. Unplug before cleaning.

Materials

An opal glass globe seated in a brass ring on a solid marble dome base. Each base is cut from natural stone, so the veining on yours is one of one.

The light you sleep facing

No glare line, no bulb edge — just an even gold sphere at pillow height that lets your eyes rest on it, then close.

Why Pearl: opal glass glare-free glow, solid green marble base, bedside scale 25 cm

Why Pearl

Opal glass to swallow the glare, solid marble to hold the ground, brass to marry the two. Small lamp, complete argument.

The green marble is unreal

Mine came with deep forest veining that the photos don't do justice. Lit, the globe goes a soft gold and the marble almost disappears into shadow — it's the first thing people mention.

Perfect scale for a tiny nightstand

My nightstand is 30 cm deep and everything I tried loomed. Pearl sits in the corner, throws warm light at exactly pillow height, and the stone base means the cat can't shift it.

Glare-free is not marketing

You can look directly at it while it's on — the opal glass swallows the bulb completely. I fall asleep facing it. Off, it's a sculpture; on, it's the calmest light in the flat.

Frequently asked questions

Does the light glare?
No — the opal glass diffuses the bulb completely, so the whole globe glows evenly. You can look straight at it, which is exactly what you want at pillow height.
How do I turn it on?
With the switch on the cord, at hand height beside the bed or shelf — no reaching under the globe in the dark.
Which marble should I choose?
Green is the statement — deep forest stone with pale veining. White keeps it airy against plaster; black turns it graphic. The opal globe is identical on all three.
How big is it?
The globe is about 15 cm across and the lamp stands roughly 25 cm tall — true bedside scale. It reads bigger lit, because the whole sphere becomes the light.
Is the marble real stone?
Yes — each base is cut and polished from natural marble, so the veining on yours exists nowhere else.
How are glass and stone shipped?
Globe and base travel separated in moulded foam inside a double-walled box. If anything arrives chipped, photograph the box and contact us — we replace it.
