Orbit™ is a slim USB gooseneck that hangs a full moon on your wall. Plug it into any USB port or power bank, bend the 28 cm arm toward a wall or ceiling, and its glass lens casts a metre-wide, crater-sharp golden moon — the calmest last light of the day.

Overview

Orbit™ is a moon projector reduced to its simplest form: a flexible 28 cm aluminium gooseneck with a small glass-lens head, powered by any USB port. Plug it into a wall adapter, a power bank on the bookshelf or the port on your headboard lamp, bend the arm, and a photoreal full moon — about a metre wide from two to three metres away — appears on the wall or ceiling in a warm golden tone. Crater detail stays crisp at the edges, and because it is one calm disc of light rather than a spinning galaxy, it settles a room instead of exciting it. It has become our favourite trick for turning lights-out from a protest into a ritual.

Care

Wipe the lens with a dry microfibre cloth for a sharp image. The head warms during long sessions — switch it off after the stories are done and give it a rest after about five hours of continuous use. Keep out of small children's reach; it is a low-voltage 5 V device, but the head is not a toy.

Bring the night sky indoors

Switch off the overheads and Orbit throws a soft lunar glow across the ceiling — the room dissolves into something calmer, wider and quieter. Bedtime for the kids, wind-down for you.

What Orbit does — key benefits

Gentle ambient wash, no harsh strobe

Warm, not a disco

This isn't a party laser. Orbit casts a slow, warm glow designed to settle a room rather than overstimulate it — the kind of light you can actually fall asleep under.

Nightstand-sized, cordless-easy

Small orb, big calm

It sits quietly on a shelf or nightstand by day and transforms the room by night — a little sphere that does the work of a whole mood.

Our toddler asks for "moon on" now

Plugged into the power bank on the bookshelf, bent toward the ceiling, and bedtime arguments basically ended. The crater detail is sharp even with the moon about a metre wide.

Better than I expected for the size

It's just a little bendy stick, but the projection looks like a photograph of the moon. I run it off the USB port on my bedside lamp and aim it at the wall above the bed.

The warm tone is everything

I tried a star projector before and it felt like a disco. This is one calm golden moon on the wall. We switch it off after stories — it does get warm if you leave it running for hours.

Frequently asked questions

How big is the projected moon?
About one metre across from 2–3 metres away. Move the head closer for a smaller, sharper disc, or further back for a bigger, softer one.
What powers it?
Any USB-A port: a phone charger, a power bank, a laptop or the USB port on many bedside lamps. It draws safe 5 V power; no batteries inside.
Can I point it at the ceiling?
Yes — the gooseneck holds any angle, so it works on walls, ceilings and sloped attic rooms alike. Ceiling projections are the favourite for reading in bed.
Does it get warm?
The small head warms with use, like most projectors. Switch it off when you leave the room and give it a break after around five hours of continuous use.
Is it only the moon?
We stock the warm golden moon only — it matches the calm, candle-warm light Kopflo rooms are built around.
Is it safe for a child's room?
It runs on low-voltage 5 V USB power. Place it out of small children's reach — on a shelf or behind the headboard — and switch it off after bedtime.
