Overview

A single sheet, bent once, standing on its own. Fold™ is 10 cm of clock and nothing else — no buttons crowding the face, no numerals except 12, 3, 6 and 9, no glowing screen waiting to hand you the news at midnight. The movement is silent, so a quiet room stays quiet. Set it on a nightstand, a shelf, the corner of a desk: it takes the footprint of a folded card and gives back the one thing you actually wanted from your phone.

Care

Dust the acrylic with a dry microfibre cloth — acrylic scratches more easily than glass, so skip paper towels and abrasives. Keep it out of direct hot sun. Remove the battery for long storage.

Materials

Moulded acrylic body in a single bent A-frame form, with a printed minimal dial and slim metal hands. Silent quartz movement. Battery powered — battery not included. Size: approx. 10 × 7 cm (3.94 × 2.76 in); weight approx. 120 g.

Cream Fold™ clock on an oak nightstand beside a clay cup and linen bed

Smaller than the cup

Ten centimetres wide, it leaves the nightstand to the lamp and the book. Small enough to overlook, legible enough to never need looking for.

Hand setting the cream Fold™ clock on a desk beside an open notebook

Sets down anywhere

Desk corner, kitchen shelf, beside the notebook — it needs no cable and no clearing of space, so it lands wherever you happen to want the time.

Fold™ benefits: silent movement, palm-size 10 cm, reads at a glance

Why Fold

A palm-size acrylic clock bent from one piece, silent, in cream or charcoal — the smallest possible argument for leaving your phone in another room.

Tiny, and that's exactly right

I have about four inches of nightstand left after the lamp and this fits with room to spare. The cream matches my linen almost exactly.

The charcoal one lives on my desk

Bought it to stop checking the clock on my laptop and breaking focus. Sounds small. It genuinely helped. No tick either, which I was worried about.

Looks like a design-shop piece

The single bent shape is the whole design and it works — no fussy stand, no branding shouting at you. Bought a second as a housewarming gift.

Frequently asked questions

How small is it exactly?
About 10 cm wide and 7 cm tall (3.94 × 2.76 in) — smaller than a coffee mug and roughly the footprint of a folded postcard. It's deliberately minimal.
Does it tick?
No — it runs on a silent quartz movement, so there's no audible ticking to notice in a quiet bedroom or a focused workspace.
Does it need a separate stand?
No. The body is bent from one piece into an A-frame, so the back of the clock is its own leg. Nothing to attach, nothing to lose.
What powers it?
A battery, not included. No cable and no charging, so it can sit anywhere — including surfaces nowhere near an outlet.
Cream or charcoal?
Cream melts into linen, oak and pale plaster; charcoal reads as a small graphic full stop on a light desk. Cream has black hands and markers, charcoal reverses to cream ones.
Is the dial easy to read?
Yes — it prints only 12, 3, 6 and 9 with short dashes between, which sounds sparse but reads faster than a crowded face. Your eye lands on the hands, not the numbers.
