A fluted half-column wall light that washes warm light up and down the plaster and never into your eyes — trade the harsh ceiling light for two soft columns of gold and the whole corridor or bedroom wall says the day is over. The ridged form breaks the glow into a gentle gradient instead of a hotspot.

Slim 8 cm profile so it sits close to the wall, 14 x 16.5 cm, in four house colours to match your palette. The wind-down light for a hallway, bedside or reading nook.

Overview

Every room has that moment at dusk when the ceiling light starts to feel like an interrogation. Flute™ is the antidote: a small fluted half-column, 14 by 16.5 centimetres, that mounts flat to the wall and throws its light where evening light belongs — up the plaster and down it, never into your eyes. The ribbed shade breaks the glow into soft vertical shadow lines, so the wall itself becomes the lamp. Switch the big light off and the room drops a register: warmer, lower, done for the day.

Care

Dust the flutes with a dry soft cloth or duster. Switch off and let the fixture cool before touching the shade. No liquids, no abrasives.

Dusk, on demand

On an olive wall by the bedroom door, Flute™ trades ceiling glare for two soft columns of gold — the corridor's cue that the day is over.

One switch to evening

Reach past the door frame, press, and the plaster lights from within. The room doesn't get brighter — it gets calmer.

Why Flute

A fluted half-column washes light up and down the wall instead of into your eyes — the oldest trick in good lighting, scaled to a hand-span.

The hallway finally feels finished

We put two along the corridor and now nobody touches the ceiling switch after dinner. The little columns of light on the plaster look like a hotel.

Bedside upgrade, zero clutter

It sits flat above the nightstand and sheds a calm pool of light exactly where the book is. Nothing on the table now but a cup and the book itself.

Looks carved, weighs nothing

The ribs catch the light so it reads like ceramic or carved plaster. Guests keep tapping it to check. Our electrician fitted it in twenty minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Does it need wiring?
Yes — Flute™ is a hardwired wall fixture. Any electrician can fit it in about twenty minutes with the included mount and fixings.
How big is it?
14 cm wide and 16.5 cm tall, standing just 8 cm off the wall — about the size of an open hand. Small enough for a hallway, present enough to carry a bedside.
Is the light warm or cool?
Warm — a golden, end-of-day tone that flatters plaster and skin. Never the blue-white of an office corridor.
Which colour suits a cream wall?
White melts into the plaster and leads with pure light; Sage and Terracotta read as small sculptures against cream; Charcoal is the boldest punctuation mark.
Can I run two or three on one wall?
That's where it sings — spaced about a metre apart along a hallway or either side of a bed, the up-down washes link into one continuous band of evening light.
Is the light source replaceable?
The LED source is accessed behind the shade and swaps out without removing the mount from the wall.
